PartyCasino.com World Blackjack Championship

Tucker K of Oklahoma won an intense 21-hand finale in the $250,000 World Blackjack Championship on Saturday afternoon, walking away $113,000 richer!

Conservative play was the order of the day as the seven finalists competed for over $247,000 in cash prizes.

On the 18th hand, Matthew K of New York cranked up the tension by going all in with a $325 wager and his 2x payout ticket. He took the hand and boosted himself into first place with a total of $925.

Winners table:

Position Player Prize Amount
1st Place Tucker K $113,000
2nd Place Matthew M $56,500
3rd Place Barbi M $28,250
4th Place Michael G $16,950
5th Place Andreas H $11,300
6th Place Michael J.Z $8,475
7th Place Nema S $5,650

Going into the last hand, Barbi M of Maryland held a close second place with $875. She made the final round by beating another player in a five-hand playoff at the end of their semi-final round table.

Andreas H, who bought into the tournament onboard for $2,500, was in third place with $550. Tucker K nipped at his heels with $525, Michael G of Connecticut sat in fifth with $325, Nema S of Virginia held sixth with $250, and wild card entrant, Michael J.Z of California, clung on to the bottom rung with $75.

Nema S led off final-hand betting with an all-in wager of $250 and received a two-card 15. He eventually hit and busted with a 23 to claim seventh place. Michael G also put in his full chip stack and pushed with the dealer on 18. Michael J.Z bet only $25 and stayed on a two-card 12, but his remaining chips allowed him to claim sixth place with $50.

Barbi M made a conservative wager of $75 to maintain her high position and her 20 was good enough to claim $950 and third place. Trying to make a move on the final hand, Andreas H bet $475 with his 2x payout card, but seeing the dealer’s face card of ‘9’, he hit on a hard 15 and busted, dropping down to fifth place with $75.

Sitting in first place with $925, Matthew M walked the conservative line with a $75 wager, and he won his hand with a 20 to finish with a $1,000 bank.

However, it was Tucker K who saved the best until last. He used his 2x payout coupon in the final hand to great effect, pushing in $425 of his $525 chip stack and making the biggest move. Tucker was in fourth place coming in to the final hand, but his ‘20’ draw was enough to beat the dealer, up his chip count to $1,375, and take the tournament.

The top 36 chip leaders from Friday, plus six wild card players drawn on Saturday morning, played in the semi-final round earlier in the day. The winner at each semi-final table advanced to the final round and the first and second runners-up at each semi-final table received a cash prize of $4,238 and $2,825, respectively.

Congratulations to all our winners!
